Born in Massachusetts and raised in Florida, Melody Castillo (b. 1996) is a multi-disciplinary creative based in New York City.
Inspired by the natural land, present and past histories, everyday life, and the people in her community, Melody’s portfolio reflects a journey through her creative praxis and deep-rooted passion for visual storytelling.
In her most recent work, you’ll find a collection of research, photography, videography that explore themes of identity, culture, memory, and self-expression. In 2020, Melody ventured into the realm of virtual reality, directing and curating an immersive art exhibition that invites audiences to step inside an restorative world envisioned by Gen-Z. During her undergrad, Melody also explored digital media and fashion publication where she curated compelling visual content and styled editorial looks that embodied the magazine’s bold and unconventional aesthetics.
